Hectare- A metric measure of area (10,000 square meters), equal to 2.471 acres.

Hectopascal- A unit of pressure measurement, one hectopascal equals 100 Pascals (1 hPa = 100 Pa = 1 mb)

Henry- Named for Joseph Henry, American scientist, who made several discoveries related to electricity and magnetism.

Hertz- The standard unit of measurement for frequency in cycles/second; prefixes include kilo (103), mega (106), and giga (109), abbreviated kHz, MHz, and GHz; replaces cycles per second in modern usage. Named for German scientist Heinrich Rodulf Hertz, who made several contributions to the science of electromagnetism.

Hour- A period of time equal to 60 minutes (the hour was originally defined in Egypt as 1/24 of a day, based on their duo-decimal numbering system)
